Country of Origin: Italy. Size: 58 - 70 cm (22.75 -27.5 inches). Weight is 28 - 37 kg (61.75 - 81.5 lbs). Coat: Coat is rough and thick and lies somewhat flat. Allowable colors are white, white with orange markings, white with brown markings, or speckled brown - with and without larger brown markings. Character: This dog is friendly, gentle, and affectionate, but has a slight stubborn streak. Temperament: This dog gets along well with children, other dogs, and any household pets. All visitors will be greeted warmly. Care: Groom this dog occasionally with a comb. The only trimming that is allowed is of any excessive hair around the pads of the feet. The ears must be kept clean. Training: The Spinone is not the most obedient dog in the world, however it will try to please you provided you do not expect too much. Activity: This breed is not suited for apartment life or life in an urban environment. It needs lots of exercise and needs plenty of space to run around. This dog loves swimming and running alongside a bicycle and is a good all-around field sports dog.
